Overview

Don Bosco School, Saran is a minority Anglo-Indian Christian institution established with the mission of providing quality education rooted in strong moral and cultural values. The school primarily serves the educational needs of Anglo-Indian and Christian children while also welcoming students from all communities, irrespective of caste, language, or religion.

The institution is committed to the holistic development of every child. Along with academic excellence, the school emphasizes character formation, discipline, responsibility, and respect for others. Guided by faith-based values, students are encouraged to grow into honest, compassionate, and socially responsible individuals.

English is the medium of instruction, with Hindi playing an important role in the curriculum. A well-rounded course of study includes core academic subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and General Knowledge, along with Moral Science, Art & Craft, Drawing, and Singing to nurture creativity and overall personality development.

Through a balanced focus on knowledge, faith, and character, Don Bosco School aims to shape young minds into capable learners and principled citizens who contribute positively to society.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

(A) To impart education to boys and girls through the medium of English and instil in them the ideals of courage, truth, tolerance and the virtues of an ideal human being and a true citizen of the country.

(B) The Institution aims at providing structures and disciplines which are considered necessary for the development of children during the formative years.

THE COURSE OF STUDIES

The course of studies is designed to develop those fundamental virtues of intellect, such as concentration, accuracy, clearness and thoroughness, essential moral qualities of reverence to God, a sense of responsibility, co-operation and generosity summed up in the word “CHARACTER”.

Though English is the medium of instruction, Hindi has a vital role in the curriculum and is taught daily in all standards. The other subjects taught, besides English and Hindi are Mathematics, Science or Nature studies, Moral Science, General Knowledge, Drawing, Art & Craft and Singing.

RECOMMENDED AGE GROUPS

Class wise age groups will be as follows:

V. N.B.:- No child below the age stipulated will be admitted in this institution.

Students who fail to pass at the end of the year but are within the age group may be required to repeat the class.

A student joining this school must produce satisfactory and authentic evidence of his/her date of birth from the Registrar of Births & Deaths, (e.g. from the municipality / Gram Panchayat).
